I love to cook. I love to eat even more. The majority of my personal recipes are without measurements because… well, because I don’t measure. They also don’t have cooking times because I generally cook something till it “smells done”. I know… its frustrating to many readers when recipes are like that but there’s little I can do. I’m a “throw it together” sort of cook and it somehow works for me. Even when reading recipes, I only read the ingredients list and really don’t pay attention to the numbers. Maybe its a gift… though I’m sure my readers find it a curse.
This “cookbook” is more like a collection of recipes I’ve found online that I want to try (you can tell those by the direct links to other websites where I found them); recipes that I have tried and are adapting (I change EVERY recipe I cook… what can I say… I’m a tinker); and/or information I find interesting.
I’d love to say this is a blog I write for others, but in truth, its not. Its a blog written for me to always have a reference for my food experiments and reference for things I want to add to my culinary arsenal. Its awesome if others find some great information along the way and I hope to be able to converse with other cooks or those looking to be one, but if you are here hoping to always find an original, detailed recipe… you will… it just might not be mine.
When I’m not cooking, I’m burning stuff. Okay, technically, I’m burning wood… on purpose. I’m a pyrographer, which is a fancy way of saying I burn designs into wood. If you would like to learn more about me, head over to my Google+ page and say “hi”! I’m quite friendly and always happy to chat with readers. If you want to learn what I do when I’m not cooking, pop on over to the Pyromancer’s Forge where I post my artwork. I also sell my stuff on Etsy, if you’re so inclined to look there too. I can also be found on Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest (where you’ll see lots of food posts)!
As you can see, I’m quite the busy person and yet I’m online like I have no life… or maybe just an online one. Either way, enjoy reading!
